Examination
An independent examination of the Clifton upon Dunsmore Neighbourhood Plan was completed, and the examination report was received on 23 February 2026. The report recommended a number of modifications to the Submission Version of the plan, and concludes that subject to modifications being made, the neighbourhood plan may proceed to referendum. The Council decided to accept all the modifications recommended by the examiner, and published a decision statement pursuant to Regulation 18 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
Submission documents
The Clifton upon Dunsmore Neighbourhood Plan has been prepared by Clifton upon Dunsmore Parish Council in consultation with the local community. It was submitted to Rugby Borough Council (as the Local Planning Authority) on 05 September 2025.
A 6-week period of public consultation commenced on 23 September 2025, and ended on 04 November, in accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
The neighbourhood plan and all responses received to that consultation were then submitted to an independent examiner, who undertook the examination of the plan.
