Examiner's report on the Brandon and Bretford Neighbourhood Plan
The Examiner's report on the Brandon and Bretford Neighbourhood Plan was received on 20 December 2018. The report recommends the plan proceeds to a referendum, subject to a series of recommended modifications.

Rugby Borough Council has now agreed for the Neighbourhood Plan to proceed to a referendum, to be held later this year.
Now the Examiner's report has been received, the Neighbourhood Plan has some weight when determining planning applications within the Neighbourhood Area. If approved at referendum, the plan becomes part of the statutory development plan.

Consultation on submitted Neighbourhood Development Plan
The Brandon and Bretford Neighbourhood Development Plan was submitted to Rugby Borough Council on 5 July 2018.
On Tuesday 4 September a six week public consultation on the plan was launched in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning General Regulations 2012.
The consultation has now closed.

Brandon and Bretford Parish Council submitted the Brandon and Bretford Neighbourhood Development Plan to Rugby Borough Council on 5 July 2018.
Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) screening determination statement
Following consultation with the statutory consultees it was determined neither a full Strategic Environmental Assessment nor a Habitat Regulations Assessment were required for the Neighbourhood Plan.
Pre-submission consultation on Neighbourhood Development Plan
Brandon and Bretford Parish Council has consulted on the pre-submission Brandon and Bretford Neighbourhood Plan. The consultation ran from Friday 23 March to Friday 11 May 2017.

Brandon and Bretford Neighbourhood Plan
Neighbourhood Area designation
Brandon and Bretford Parish Council has submitted an application to Rugby Borough Council for the designation of the parish as a Neighbourhood Area under the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
Subject to the designation of the Neighbourhood Area, the parish council intends to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan to help shape the future development of the villages.

Consultation
A public consultation on the proposed Neighbourhood Area closed on Tuesday 26 April 2016.
Decision
The application to designate the parish of Brandon and Bretford as a Neighbourhood Area was approved on 12 May 2016.
