The Friends of Rugby Art Gallery Museum aims to build a community of passionate art lovers who can enjoy exclusive access to the venue and help shape future exhibition programmes and events.

Founder friends qualify for exclusive exhibition previews, behind-the-scenes tours, artist talks and discounts.

Friends can also attend meetings with the gallery and museum team to share ideas and play a part in bringing high quality art experiences to Rugby.

Sally Godden, Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's manager, said: "Next year marks Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's 25th birthday, a milestone we want to celebrate by harnessing the passion for the arts so many of our visitors share.

"We want the Friends of Rugby Art Gallery and Museum to have a voice when it comes to shaping the venue's future, creating exhibition and event programmes which capture our visitors' imaginations.

"In return, we plan to offer 'friends' a range of VIP opportunities to get closer to the art and the artists, together with plenty of opportunities to meet like-minded art lovers from across the borough and beyond."

Anyone who wants to register an interest in joining the Friends of Rugby Art Gallery and Museum can sign-up online at www.ragm.co.uk/friends

The venue plans to consult with everyone who registers to find out what experiences and perks prospective 'friends' want from membership, before launching the group next year as part of Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's 25th birthday celebrations.
