Shaping the Future of Rugby post-Local Government Reorganisation

This survey is a short resident listening exercise. Local government is changing across Warwickshire, and we want to make sure Rugby Borough’s identity, needs and local voice are clearly understood as future arrangements develop.

What is Local Government Reorganisation (LGR)?

Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) is a programme of changes to how councils are structured and how local services are delivered.

What this engagement is about

This is an early-stage listening exercise to understand what matters most to Rugby Borough residents, including:

  • What makes Rugby distinct, and what should never be lost
  • How day-to-day council services should work in future
  • How residents want to access support (online, phone, face-to-face)
  • The importance of local presence, visibility and decision-making
  • Views on local governance options (including the role of a town council)
  • Local buildings, spaces and community assets that matter most

What happens next?

After the survey closes, we will analyse the feedback and publish a “You said / We heard” summary, explaining what residents told us and what happens next.
