Working to reduce fuel poverty in privately owned or privately rented homes
PLEASE NOTE - applications for the Warm Homes: Local Grant scheme have now closed for 2025/26.
The Government-funded Warm Homes: Local Grant scheme aims to reduce fuel poverty by offering low-income households grants to improve the energy efficiency of privately owned or privately rented homes.
Not to be confused with the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund, which offers support exclusively to council tenants, the Warm Homes: Local Grant only supports the private housing sector.
The council has yet to finalise plans for energy efficiency support for the private sector during the 2026/27 financial year.
