Tenancy support
Free, confidential help to manage your home and finances
Rugby Borough council has its own Tenancy Support Officers, based within the Housing Services team. We provide free, non-judgmental advice and support to new and existing tenants.
Our aim is to help out tenants manage their tenancies by offering 1-to-1 personalised assistance. We can visit you in your own home if this is the most convenient way for you to access the service.
We can support you with:
- Maintaining your home: Advice on repairs and maintenance and keeping your home in good condition.
- Benefits advice: Support with exploring a range of benefits and/or grants you may be entitled to and help with making any claims.
- Personal budgeting: Practical help with managing your finances, including budgeting and debt management. We can also help with accessing support for energy debt.
- Support available in the community: Guidance on accessing local community services such as food banks, warm spaces, and other support networks. We can also advise on registering with a GP, finding local schools, and accessing employment support.
- Looking to downsize: Personalised support if you are considering moving to more manageable or affordable home.
