Public consultation
Rugby Borough Council has launched a Community Governance Review to consider whether to create a town council for Rugby, in accordance with the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007.
The CGR was agreed at a meeting of full council on Wednesday 18 March 2026.
The report approved by council can be downloaded below and should be read before submitting your response to the public consultation.
Public consultation - 'stage one'
We have now launched the 'stage one' consultation of the CGR, where we want to hear the views of residents.
Your views can help us prepare the CGR's draft recommendations, which then become subject to the CGR's 'stage two' consultation - set to take place later this year.
