Climate Change Adaptation Plan
To understand and prepare for the likely changes the Borough will experience in coming decades, RBC worked with Sustainability West Midlands to produce a Climate Change Adaptation Plan.
This explores both the risks and opportunities, identifying the actions that the Council should take across all of its services to ensure we continue to deliver for residents in a safe and effective way.
This process was supported by a Technical Report on the potential changes in weather. Rugby is expected to see an increase in rainfall so mitigating the impacts of flooding - as well as other emergencies - continues to be a major priority for the Council. This Community Resilience Project is an crucial step towards this and delivering the objectives of the Adaptation Plan.
